| Introduction Our Terms and Conditions comply with UK legislation, including the Distance Selling Regulations and are designed to ensure that all our customers can shop easily and with confidence with UK Optics. Any disputes shall be adjudicated according to the laws of England and Wales. UK Optics is part of the UK Digital Ltd company. We endeavour to ensure product availability on all our advertised goods, however, occasionally a chosen item is unavailable, and stock can change on a daily basis. In the event an ordered product is not available we will attempt to contact you ASAP by email or telephone to update you with the expected delivery dates, and to see if you wish to continue with your order. We maintain that, by confirming your order, you unreservedly accept our conditions of sale, having fully read them. All statements, guarantees or warranties in our terms of trading are additional to your statutory rights. Cancellation You have the right to cancel your order with us, in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. The period in which you can exercise that right is 7 working days beginning the day after your goods are received. The goods must be returned, unused with all the original packaging present within the 7 days of the notice to cancel. Returns postage charges will not be paid by UK Optics. We reserve the right to have the goods inspected by a technician prior to replacement or refund. The distant regulations do not apply when purchased in person from our retail store, or when made on a Special Order. However in the event that you wish to change or return the products within 7 days and has been bought in good faith (for a Christmas present for example) and the goods are unopened and in original condition (including any packaging) we will use our discretion to change / credit, or refund as is reasonable under the circumstances, at our discretion. A restocking charge may apply, and we may accept or refuse any return, as may be reasonable under the circumstances. Damaged Goods In the unlikely event your order is damaged in transit please contact us by email to . Please retain the original packaging for returning your order, and any other evidence that may assist us to help resolve this. Faulty Goods If you suspect a fault with your product please email us on . We will then either assess the possible fault ourselves or may direct you to the respective manufacturers helpline. This initial call may prevent any unnecessary return to us saving you, the customer the return delivery cost should the product be found in full working order. In such as case will reserve the right to return the goods to you with a £10 administration charge. However if there is an obvious defect and/or under the manufacturers recommendation it needs to be returned, please notify us on, and a returns reference will be given to you. Within 28 days of purchase, if your goods are faulty due to faulty manufacturing we will offer a prompt replacement or refund of the relevant components. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse. A replacement will only be issued when the faulty item provided is in ‘as new' condition and undergone an initial technical examination. We must be notified of the fault within 28 days of purchase and proof of purchase MUST be provided. If your purchase develops a fault after 28 days and within its 12 month guarantee we will ask you to either return the goods to ourselves or direct to the manufacturers. Please first contact ourselves to discuss. We generally recommend to return goods direct to the manufacturers as this will be faster and more appropriate. Any goods that are faulty due to manufacturing defacts will be replaced or repaired free of charge. PLEASE NOTE: Any repairs must be accompanied by your original purchase reciept.
PLEASE NOTE: It may take up to 3-6 weeks (or longer) for repairs to be undertaken, depending on the manufacturer and complexity of the problem. This is outside our control, although we will do our best to ensure that any delays within our contol are minimal. Returning Goods If you return your goods unopened in original packaging, and original condition within the 7 day purchase period, we will exchange it or refund your money. In all cases please contact us in the first instance, so we can assist. No refunds will be given for any items that were specified as 'Special Order'. If the goods returned have been used, we reserve the right to deem the goods second-hand and make you an appropriate offer should any items not be returned in their entirety or in an as new condition, as would be reasonable. This includes damaged packaging, and /or missing contents. Please provide proof of purchase. Please note that any software packages may only be returned unopened, and data downloads are not refundable. Any refund made may be subject to a minimum £5 or 15% re-stocking fee (whichever the greater) as is reasonable under the individual circumstances. Please package any returned items carefully and return them, for your own protection, via a recorded and fully insured method of carriage. Royal Mail Special/Recorded Delivery is recommended. The cost of returned items is the responsibility of the customer unless the goods are found to be faulty or delivered to you in error, and in this case postage will be refunded when this is established. A maximum of £7 can be credited towards any delivery costs incurred. A technical examination needs to be carried out prior to any replacement or refund. It is your responsibility to check your consignment, if any incorrect goods are supplied you please us within 48 hours of delivery. After this period mistakes cannot be rectified. UK Optics will not be responsible for compensating you for any losses you may suffer if goods are not supplied, deemed faulty, damaged in transit or whatsoever.
Guarantees All products are covered by the manufacturers 12 month guarantee unless otherwise stated, from the date of delivery. Stock Levels and Availability of Goods Whilst we do our best to keep stock level numbers accurate, please note they do change on a daily basis. As there is a retail premises there may be times where stock becomes unavailable through purchase from our retail store, or over the telephone, and there is delay before this is refelected in our online website. Even when items are not in stock, most items can be still be turned around and delivered within 7 working days, and you are welcome to place an order when not in stock. It is our policy only to deduct payment when you order is in stock and is ready to be delivered to yourself.
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at anytime without prior notice. If we cannot supply the goods for any reason you will be notified by telephone or email at the earliest opportunity and no charge will be taken, or will be credited if a charge has been taken in error. We welcome telephone equiries for any urgent stock enquiries or technical information or help you may require.
Duplicate Invoices Should you require a duplicate invoice, there may be a fee of £5, depending on the circumstances, and the time period involved. In these circumstances duplicates will only be despatched after payment has been received. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. UK Optics agrees to supply and you agree to purchase goods subject to these terms and conditions, which shall supercede any terms and conditions on any purchase order or document that you submit to UK Optics. These terms and conditions supercede and take precedence over any previous terms and conditions. All goods remain property of UK Optics or UK Digital Ltd until full and final payment has been received. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales Please note that we practice a policy of continual review and reserve the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without notice. Purchase Orders UK Optics accepts Government / Local Authority Purchase Orders. They must be submitted with official paperwork and relevant contact details by FAX to 01200 444225. We reserve the right to reject any incompete orders. Payment must be made by Cheque or BACS (Bank Transfer) within 30 days of receipt of goods.
